I communicated with this company through 5 emails asking a simple and direction question: "For my dog's meal plan, how much does each complete bag of food cost AND how many complete bags of food will I receive? The Farmer's Dog refuses to give me a direct answer. The Farmer's Dog is not transparent in pricing. I would say that they truly care for their clients (human and animals) and do what is, for me anyway, exceptional service. Their response to her passing and the sympathy they have shown me has been really appreciated and unexpected. I had planned to continue using them, especially as it is delivered and would save me trips to the store for her food. Maya liked the food and it was very easy to prepare and feed her. Turns out it was The Farmers Dog in memory of my Maya. Yesterday I received an indoor plant but did not know who it was from. They were very understanding and responded with much sympathy. They responded immediately with complete sympathy and said they had canceled the order and were returning my payment. As it was probably too late to stop the expected shipment, I asked for directions on sending it back when received. I contacted The Farmers Dog the next day and let them know that Maya had passed and to cancel my account. We were expecting our 2nd order shortly when the cancer won and I lost my Maya.
I had recently started my dog, Maya, on The Farmers Dog food and she loved it.
